  • Grand (3:47)
    Play Grand (3:47)Grand (3:47)
(Grunge Rock) Celebration of new-found freedom and marriage in the United States.  The song was inspired by the CA Supreme Court overturning ban on same-sex marriage in May 2008, in which I wrote the song a few days after that fateful day.

Play That Is So (3:10)That Is So (3:10)

Play Honest Pay (3:25)Honest Pay (3:25)
(Folk/Country) Story of a gay person who lost his job because he showed a picture of his family on his desk.  The song inspired by current efforts to expand ENDA to include protection from employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
  • Allegiance (4:35)
    Play Allegiance (4:35)Allegiance (4:35)
(Rock/Soundtrack) A song about a Gay American Soldier's letters to his significant other at home while sent out to war.  The song was inspired by the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy currently in place in America as well as the current level of homophobia affecting gay soldiers in the U.S. Armed Forces.

(R&B/Ballad) A song about the mourning of a widower following the abrupt death of his husband and the dream that the widower had for the two of them.  The song was inspired by the yearning to prove to the world that people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered do know what it means to love.

(Ballad) An Ode from a parent to his/her newborn child, promising that the parent will look after the newborn throughout his/her childhood and adult years while the parent is alive.  The song is inspired by gay adoption bans currently in place in a few states in America.

(Pop/Ballad) A dream of inspiration and hope towards a future of full equality in America.  The song was inspired by the Eve of Justice rally in San Francisco in March 2009, especially by the speech from James Brosnahan that ended with his poignant sentence, "Your Time Has Come".

Featuring speeches by Willow Witte, Rev. Troy D. Perry, Stuart Gaffney, John Lewis and Robin Tyler.

  • Why (2:33)
    Play Why (2:33)Why (2:33)
(Soundtrack) A re-enactment of a murderous hate-crime.  The song comes unexpectedly in the album right after an uplifting song of hope, as murders are senseless acts that can happen at any time.  The song is inspired by efforts to pass the Matthew Shepard to strongly deter hate crimes towards LGBT people.
  • We Will Be Free (2:54)
Play We Will Be Free (2:54)We Will Be Free (2:54)
(Choral) A solemn prayer of hope.  The song was inspired by the life of Harvey Milk and the Memorial of George Moscone and Harvey Milk in San Francisco held on the 30th Anniversary of their assassination.  The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus' performance there inspired this song to be a choral piece.
